Welcome to my bird home. I am a small breeder located in Lucama, North Carolina. It is located just outside of Wilson, NC and about 45 minutes east of Raleigh, North Carolina. I have been breeding Zebra finches off and on for the last 7 years. I breed Lady Gouldian Finches, Society Finches. I breed as a hobby. It's like an adventure for me. I just let nature take its course. If I have successful breeding then I'm happy and if I don't, then I try to figure out why and make some changes. I enjoy watching the birds bring new life into the world. I just have a love for birds. They sing beautiful music and its a pleasure to listen to. There's also no experience in the world like watching a hen and cock take care of their family. The chatter of the babies is so pleasant.
I keep my birds in a seperate housing area outside of the home. They get heat and air conditioning. All of my finches are in breeding and flight cages. I feed all of my birds fresh food and water everyday. They all get a diet of seed, greens, eggs with shells or eggfood, fresh vegetables and fruits and as a treat, fresh millet.
